Your FIRST CALL SHOULD BE TO A DIVORCE COACH
No two clients are the same, just as no two divorces are the same. Your coaching plan is individually developed. Divorce is a big decision. In fact, approximately 20-percent of clients who work with a divorce coach, decide to stay in their marriage.
You don't have to get divorced to work with a divorce coach and coaches do not 'endorse' divorce. The truth is, divorce happens. It's not fun. No one looks forward to it. Divorce coaches are here to save you time, money, and most of all your sanity.
A majority of divorce coaching is individual coaching, meaning one partner in the marriage participates and the other does not. Coaching sessions are approximately 45-minutes and frequency is dependent on the stage the client is in. Clients in 'survival mode' tend to schedule sessions 2-3 times a week, while clients in post-divorce may schedule a check-in meeting once a month. Most clients schedule one session per week while actively moving through the stages of divorce. Coaching can be effective with six sessions. However, many clients develop rapport with their coach and choose to continue with coaching weekly, monthly, or as-needed.
There is no question about it. Marriage is hard work. Under the right circumstances couples coaching may be an option if both partners trust the coach, trust each other, and trust the process.
Next classes begin in October 2021.
